Product Description

The MYS5-275/20-4P+NPE series is a modular surge protective device (SPD) designed for TT and TN power distribution systems, featuring a "4+1" circuit configuration. Compliant with EN 61643-11 (Type 2) and IEC 61643-11 (Class II), it provides reliable protection against transient overvoltages caused by lightning strikes and switching operations.

The device offers a nominal discharge current (8/20μs) of 20kA and a maximum discharge current of 40kA for both L-N and N-PE paths, with a voltage protection level (N-PE) of ≤1.5kV. Fast response times of ≤25ns (L-N) and ≤100ns (N-PE) ensure effective clamping of surge events. It operates at an AC nominal voltage of 230/400V (50/60Hz), with a maximum continuous operating voltage of 320V (L-N) and 275V (N-PE).

The SPD features a clear green/red status and fault indication window for easy visual monitoring. Installation is quick and tool-friendly, thanks to the 35mm DIN rail mounting per EN 60715 and screw terminals (M5, 3.0Nm ±10%) accommodating conductor cross-sections from 1.5mm² to 35mm² stranded / 25mm² flexible wire. The thermoplastic housing (UL 94 V-0) provides IP20 protection and is suitable for indoor installation.

The (NS) variant additionally provides a floating changeover remote signaling contact (125VAC/1A, 30VDC/0.5A) with a 0.2mm² terminal cross-section and M2/0.25Nm screw torque, enabling remote monitoring of the SPD status for integration into building management or SCADA systems.

With an operating temperature range of -40℃ to +70℃, the MYS5-275/20-4P+NPE series is an ideal choice for reliable, maintenance-friendly surge protection in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installations.
