Product fundamentals
The SPD is connected in parallel between the line and the ground. Under normal operating voltage, the MOV is in a high-resistance state, which is equivalent to the line being open to the ground and does not affect the normal operation of the line. The fault display window is green, as shown in Figure 2.
When an instantaneous pulse overvoltage occurs on the line due to lightning or switching operation, the lightning protection module quickly conducts in nanoseconds, short-circuiting the overvoltage to the earth and discharging it. When the pulse overvoltage disappears, the lightning protection module automatically returns to high voltage. resistance state, does not affect the user's power supply. When the lightning protection module works in an overloaded state for a long time, and its performance deteriorates when it heats up to a certain temperature, the thermal protector (K1) in the module (as shown in Figure 3) will automatically disconnect the lightning protection module circuit to protect the power circuit. Work will not be affected and fires will be prevented in time.
When excessive lightning current is induced in the line, the overcurrent protector (K2) is quickly disconnected to prevent the SPD from exploding. K1 or K2 action
Then, the tripping device in the SPD acts, causing the fault display window to display red (as shown in Figure 4), reminding the user to replace the SPD. At the same time, the tripping device drives the remote signaling alarm switch (SK) to act and output a fault alarm signal.

MYS20-320/20-2P (S) is mainly used for lightning protection of AC equipment 230V system and operation over-voltage protection.
